Stone Towers

Stone tower

I have admired the work of Andy Goldsworthy for many years, since finding two of his books at the Grizedale Forest Visitor Centre. A visit to Flamborough Head on the Yorkshire coast inspired me to try something of my own in the same style.

The local stone tends to form relatively flat boulders, which can be stacked to great heights. This tower developed a lean which nicely matched the shape of the limestone arch behind.
